Asia’s Biggest Lifestyle Shopping Attraction on the Chao Phraya – Asiatique The Riverfront

A important river port during the reign of King Rama V has been restored to become Asia’s biggest tourist and lifestyle shopping destination, Asiatique The Riverfront.

The concept behind this tourist and lifestyle shopping experience was to create a “Festival Market and Living Museum” adjacent to Chareornkrung Road in surroundings that reminisce of bygone days and reflect cosmopolitan Bangkok today. A collection of buildings and warehouses dating back from 1910 to 1950 have been renovated while new structures that reflect similar colonial architecture have been added to create Asiatique The Riverfront, making it much more than just a shopping bazaar.
Asiatique The Riverfront has been divided into four zones: The first, Charoernkrung, has over 1500 shops selling fashion, accessories, home décor and souvenirs. It also offers cultural performances, including the Joe Louise Puppet Theater and Calypso ‘Ladyboy’ Cabaret. Next is Klang Muang (City Center) featuring a host of eateries, Thai and international, as well as cafés and bars as well as a beer hall in a very picturesque setting. The third zone is the Rong Ngan (Factory) that includes as many as 500 hip dining venues and pubs together with fashion and accessory boutiques. Last, but definitely not least, is the Rim Nam (The Riverfront) featuring over 300 meters of waterfront wine bars and restaurants where visitors can relax and enjoy food, drink and the ambience.

Asiatique The Riverfront has one more highlight that shouldn’t be missed, Asia Sky, a towering Ferris wheel that affords spectacular panoramic views of Bangkok and the Chao Phraya, in addition to all the other entertainment and shopping at Asia’s largest riverside tourist and shopping attraction.

Open: 5.00 p.m. – midnight
