You’ll sound like a couple of young kids when you step back into your childhoods and pass through the exhibits of the Million Toy Museum in Ayutthaya. Created by Assoc. Prof. Krirk Yoopun, the owner, he spent more than 20 years collecting these toys before opening his doors to kids of all ages.
The museum includes well-shaded grounds decorated with toys that make everyone want to play - no matter their age. Inside, the first floor is filled with glass display cases of toys from the ancient Thai eras of Sukhothai and Ayutthaha as well as the early years of the current Rattanakosin era, including ceramic dolls and banks together other rare antique items that show how the children of these early ages had some extraordinary toys to play with.
The highlight of the second floor is giant cartoon character replicas, like Ultra Man, Superman, Spiderman and many more you are certain to be able to name.
In addition, there are countless exhibits of toys – old and new - which might inspire you to share stories of your childhoods that could create lots of laughter that will bring you even closer together.
This might be the high point of your first date, when you enter the Time Machine and return to your happiest childhood memories, and as you open up, you will become that much closer.
Open: Tuesday – Sunday, 9.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.
Admission: Adult: 50 baht Children: 20 baht
